This article is on the election of both lower and upper house like they will be held on the same day, but as far as I know, the next election on 9 August will only be for the Senate. Shouldn't the page be split accordingly?-- Aréat ( talk) 10:44, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, it looks like it. There was a separate 2020 Egyptian Senate election article, but I merged it here as it appeared they were being held on the same day. Cheers, Number 5 7 13:15, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
Is there any document with the details of the electoral system, notably the party list? I'm not sure I'm grasping quite right what's being used here.-- Aréat ( talk) 22:49, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- It looks like there are 284 elected in a mix of (143) single and multi-member constituencies using the two-round system, [1] and the other 284 are elected by closed list proportional representation in four multi-member constituencies. [2] Number 5 7 23:17, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
The election was concluded nine months ago, and yet there is no map, no leaders, no results- nothing to imply anything about it. This is neglect of the scale has not been seen in a while, and there needs to be a complete overhaul of this article to comply with Wikipedia's standards.
