Sifan Hassan broke the African dominance of the women's 10,000 metres that stretched back to 1997, by taking gold for the Netherlands.
This claim is dubious as Hassan was born in Africa. Is there any reliable source for this claim? ---

As the Russian team is still disqualified, the medal tally DOES NOT include the medals won individually by ANA athletes: sorry for that, but it is useless to try to put Russia or ANA team (does not exist) in the top of the list. All the medal tables published in the sources (as for example Gazzetta dello Sport of 5 October 2019, p. 30) DO NOT consider the RUS/Ana medals in their tables.- Arorae ( talk) 06:14, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
