Incorporating content from deleted article without attribution?

Is it an issue to incorporate content from a deleted version of this article without attributing the authors? Per WP:MERGE and Creative Commons Share-alike 3.0 license, it appears that we do. Without the ability to see the revisions of the deleted page, IMO this is an issue. — X96lee15 ( talk) 15:50, 18 November 2016 (UTC) reply

Perhaps we could do some history merging with the deleted version. WikiOriginal-9 ( talk) 22:28, 22 November 2016 (UTC) reply
Then fix it by adding the attribution desired, not by deleting the content.-- Paul McDonald ( talk) 21:22, 3 December 2016 (UTC) reply
merged content from 2007 Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia football game has been added back in.-- Paul McDonald ( talk) 21:27, 3 December 2016 (UTC) reply
I can't see the attribution, so I cannot be added back in. An admin has to do a history merge I believe. What you did is essentially recreate a deleted article without adding any new content (and not attributing the changes!). That version of the article was deleted and can only be restored with a deletion review (again, I believe). I'm going to remove the info again until it can be attributed. — X96lee15 ( talk) 22:30, 3 December 2016 (UTC) reply
The attribution is in the edit summary as required in WP:MERGE. I am reverting. If you want to revert again, please take it to WP:3RR. If you desire a different attribution and it's reasonable, speak up to what you want instead of just removing content. If I have misunderstood how to re-merge content appropriately, then the gang at WP:3RR can quickly and easily correct any mistake I have made.-- Paul McDonald ( talk) 23:23, 3 December 2016 (UTC) reply
Yup, I think the way it is now works! FWIW, I did speak up twice for what was required. Once on this talk page a few days before I removed the content and once after you restored the content still without attribution. I don't know what else you wanted me to do. — X96lee15 ( talk) 00:56, 4 December 2016 (UTC) reply

Football

Game was not meant to be won by WVU. Ricrod was being an donkey. Didn't care about anything but the money. 75.109.238.231 ( talk) 18:29, 27 November 2021 (UTC) reply
