Frankly, I find the idea that this was a "war" to be ludicrous, lacking recognition of these events in their political context. It isn't even certain that the Ivorian attack was intended to hit the French. It is best considered as a tit-for-tat skirmish, followed by protests and rioting. I moved the article to the title "Ivorian-French violence, 2004", which not only suits the initial tit-for-tat attacks better, but also encompasses the rioting that followed. There were reports in the news and from witnesses that rioting Ivorians attacked Europeans and White civilians, including cases of gang-rapes and weapon attacks but these are not reported here. I remember these events on the news but reading this article does not really give a good vision of the violence of the riots. Matthieu ( talk) 12:18, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

A update and massive changes regarding equipment lost and repaired was urgently needed. I have reviewed the page and added more sources, a breakdown by detail of the aircraft types, the damage suffered as well the types repaired. We can't use personal blogs as sources per WP:SPS, so two new sources have been added to replace the previous one. Mr.User200 ( talk) 11:34, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
