Seriously, do they fly the Mi-8?
Yes, they do. They flew any aircraft they could get their hands on. Jak474 ( talk) 22:19, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello,
There are many air commando units besides the 1st Special Operations Wing. There are many many airmen who serve in all air commando units as air commandos. An article with the title Air Commando should cover the role and duties of an air commando, and serve as an introduction to all the air commando unit articles.
As it is, this article mistakenly gives the impression that the 1st Special Operations Wing are the world's only air commandos.

The article lists their active years as "1932–13, 1944–48, 1962–present". I am not sure what is meant by "1932–13". I have tried to find out what was actually meant, but have not come up with an answer. Was it 1913 to 1932? 1932 to 1933? Anyone with the answer please fix this. -- Billy Nair ( talk) 19:44, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
I have removed the photo of the Navy RH-53D helicopters from Operation Eagle Claw (1980), they have nothing to do with the 1st Special Operations Wing (which had a EC-130 transport involved in the mission). 216.96.76.79 ( talk) 22:12, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
They actually used the EC-130 as a tanker. That's what my book says. It's written by a former MC-130P pilot, and is entitled "The Praetorian STARs: The History of the Combat Talon". Jak474 ( talk) 22:22, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
