Hey there, @ Peacemaker67, while I understand that you moved the page to stress the SS allegiance of the unit, I disagree on three key points: (1) Even under the SS, the unit never carried "SS" in its name; (2) Although nominally moved to the SS, the unit indeed kept using Wehrmacht ranks, uniforms, titles and command structure, and (3) the page clearly contains a section of history (from 1943 to December 1944) when the unit was part of the German army rather than the Waffen-SS — indeed, I would argue that that segment of history, what with the anti-partisan warfare in Yugoslavia in 1943/44, is the most important part of its operational history.
As a result of all this, I'd kindly petition to move the page back to 1st Cossack Cavalry Division, and to make 1st SS Cossack Cavalry Division a redirect. Best wishes, Ted52 ( talk) 17:56, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
