A loose and somewhat shortened translation of the poem in this article was used as a battle cry in the TV show Vikings (Season 1, Episode 4):
Up onto the overturned keel
Clamber, with a heart of steel
Cold is the ocean's spray
And your death is on its way
With maidens you have had your way
Each must die some day!
I have no way to document this connection other than my own reading of the poem and comparison to the lines from the show, which I suspect is insufficient and/or original research for Wikipedia purposes. I think it would be neat to document this connection so that show viewers who are interested have a chance to be pulled back into the original sources for some of the material. Any ideas? 66.49.101.90 ( talk) 15:35, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
