Tacario Davis is an American football cornerback for the Arizona Wildcats.
Davis grew up in Long Beach, California. [1] He attended Millikan High School in Long Beach where he played both defensive back and wide receiver, totaling 74 tackles along with 26 receptions for 463 yards in his high school career. [2] In his final year, he was a first-team All- Moore League selection and the Millikan team captain. [3] He was ranked a three-star recruit and the 114th-best cornerback nationally by On3.com. [4] He committed to play college football for the Arizona Wildcats over the Kansas Jayhawks and Arizona State Sun Devils, the only other teams to give him offers. [3]
Davis appeared in five games for the Wildcats as a true freshman in 2022. [5] He posted seven total tackles. [2] He "emerged as one of the top cornerbacks nationally" in the 2023 season, playing 13 games, 11 as a starter, while totaling 25 tackles, an interception, and leading the Pac-12 Conference in both pass breakups (15) and passes defended (16).
