Sykia ( Greek: Συκιά, Greek pronunciation: [si'ca]) is a village and a community of the Elassona municipality. [2] Before the 2011 local government reform it was a part of the municipality of Potamia, of which it was a municipal district. [2] The community of Sykia covers an area of 36.806 km2. [3]
The community of Sykia consists of two settlements: [4]
- Kalyvia Analipseos and
- Sykia.
The population of Sykia is occupied in animal husbandry and agriculture ( tobacco, viticulture and olivess). [5]
