Sulcopyrenula is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Pyrenulaceae. [1] It contains five species. [2] The genus was circumscribed by Hiroshi Harada in 1999, with Sulcopyrenula staurospora assigned as the type species. It is distinguished from other genera in the Pyrenulaceae by its longitudinally grooved ( sulcate) ascospores. [3]
