Suhander Manuel Zúñiga Cordero (born 15 January 1997) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays for LD Alajuelense of the Costa Rican First Division, on loan from A.D. San Carlos, and the Costa Rica national team. [1]
He made his senior league debut for AD Carmelita on 15 August 2014 against the Limón F.C. at the Morera Soto Stadium. [2] In his debut season he made eighteen appearances. On 28 May 2015, he was awarded the Under-21 player of the season award. [3]
On 7 January 2019, Zúñiga joined Deportivo Saprissa on a year-long loan. [4] He scored his first goal for them on 24 July 2019 against Pérez Zeledón. [5]
On 28 December 2019, he signed for CS Herediano. [6] In June 2022, he signed for A.D. San Carlos. [7] In December 2022, he signed on loan for LD Alajuelense. [8]
He was selected to represent Costa Rica U-20 at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea. [9]
He made his debut for the senior Costa Rica national football team in March 2021, against Bosnia. [10]
