Sphincterochila candidissima is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Sphincterochilidae. [2]
This species occurs in France, Italy, Malta and other areas.
The shell is subimperforate, globose, solid and cretaceous. The shell has 5 whorls, rather flattened, the upper ones carinate above the suture, carina afterwards becoming evanescent. The last whorl is deflected in front. The peristome is subpatulous, thickened within. [3]
The width of the shell is 16–25 mm. [3]
