→Demographics: Deleted historical populations table because it mixes Manhattan apples with five-borough oranges. See
User talk:Shakescene#Census. The footnote about Bronx inclusion before 1898 just muddles thing further. The table should be reworked before possible restoration in some form.Tag: Reverted

talk) The small weather box is useful and the only one I want to read; those big ugly weatherboxes (anywhere) have always been too intimidating for me to start exploring. There's surely a place for those details in the NYC Climate subarticle, but it's too much information for the reader seeking a general picture of this topic among many, many others. We may have to start a Talk Page discussion.

→Demographics: Uncollapsed population growth because collapsed version won't guide people to one of the first questions that they might ask about NYC. However, while I wanted to replace the Show option with a Hide one, I've forgotten how to do so. Help appreciated

→Climate: The small table at the top gives useful information for the general reader. But the big weatherbox that I'm deleting is too detailed and non-intuitive for the general reader (so many bright boxes that general readers like me are deterred from starting to explore it); it properly belongs in the specialized NYC Climate subarticle.

talk) This table is standard in U.S. city & state articles, and answers general-interest questions from those who might not dive into the subarticle. However much of this section's text needs editing and summarizing (with referral to the subarticles) because mentioning ethnic group A will generate aiddtionst about groups B, C, D & E, which in turn will bring in text about groups F, G,..etc.Tag: Undo
