I have read the referenced article (Berger, 2017). Saying his work was against makes it sounds like he is a lone wolf. Berger makes clear that those theories were developed in response to Kapp'

Bizarrely, the article included made use of network theory jargon to describe CLDs. This jargon would not accompany any CLD. It is not accessible to a non-network theory audience.

The first part made Jay sound like a mathematician. If I were writing a grant to do research using system dynamics, or a contract to do consulting using it, I would not want "interaction between objects in dynamic systems" to be how it is defined. That is so vague and mathy. There must be a way that is more faithful to Jay's vision of what system dynamics was capable of. Rather than wait for someone more eloquent, I added a blurb on its most common applications, without reference.

I wanted to add a piece to the talk page bringing up the promotional aspect of the article. Way too much of this article is doing paradigm work, that is, shaming other paradigm communities. Saying, this paradigm is the best, those others are out-dated, pseudo-scientific, etc. It may well be that CSociologists agree on all these points. But then it should be described that way. It is not information, it is promotion.

→Macrosimulation and microsimulation: It is taken for granted that one scientist did good work while another one did bad work because one scientist (journalist) says so. Yes, a model's output can change when someone tweaks assumptions. But, the person who made the model should be allowed to rebut such criticisms. Or at least someone proficient in designing such models should be allowed to rebut. This was not the case. Thousands of hours of work were "refuted" by dozens of hours.

By changing the Category, my goal was to change the disambiguation label assigned. The current label is inaccurate as it represents only a small part of Jay's life's work, and places him in the company of a community of people who rejected him as much or more as they accepted him.
