The book you refer from show that the word "Chal" in "Chalukya" has slightly different etymologies in different parts of the country, one of which is "Solanki" in the north-west of India. talk) Actually sir, the common language was always meant to be "common language of administration". In a country like India with dozens if not hundreds of languages, the spoken forms can quickly add up within just south India itself.Tag: Undo
