Livyatan
→Description: The Beaumaris sperm whale was not studied in a peer reviewed paper thus there is no scientific size estimate for it and no méthodology. The 18 m estimate is simply a rough estimate mirroring the upper TL estimate for Livyatan (discussion with Fitzgerald on Twitter). So there is no point using a purely mediatic figure to use as size for the Beaumaris tooth. If anything the tooth is large but still smaller than most of the holotype teeth.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

→Prey relationships: Here again this is the original quote from Wroe et al. 2008. Plus Gottfried wrote the same statements in 1996 and 2001 works. Pimiento did it as well in her thesis. "Largely predatory" is not a direct statement from any source and is only obvious given the subject.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit
