In the case of Mandatory Palestine, it should note that this is a controversial position for many of the same reasons that the example of Israel above it does. In the case of Liberia, the article it links to says that it's questionable whether it was ever a colony to begin with.

Timeline of the demographics of Palestine (region)
Per accessibility request on the talk page: adding a dagger to the lines colored "lavenderblush" for "conflicting estimates among different researchers." The last two of those four lines had the "Source" cell colored in; the first two did not. For consistency and clarity, I'm removing the color from all four Source cells, and also from cells w/o conflicting estimates, e.g. Pagans. Also, changing the dagger in the "Kingdom of Jordan" note to a double dagger, to distinguish it.current
