  • 12:46 12:46, 22 May 2018 diff hist +26 m USS Laffey (DD-724)To clarify that the ship is extant, the wording of the lead line was changed from "was a" to "is a". This necessitated a change to the line stating the ship was from WW2. This change mirrors wording of the articles for USS Yorktown (CV-10) and USS Clamagore, both National Historic Landmarks located at the same place as Laffey, at Patriots Point, SC. I felt that because of the historical, quality photograph used, it was not sufficiently clear that the article was dealing with an extant subject.
