2023 Nova Scotia wildfires
→Effects and response: While some wildfire smoke from the Nova Scotia wildfires was seen in parts of the Northeastern United States in early June, the extremely hazardous air quality from June 6 to 7 in New York City and most of the region was caused by wildfire smoke that descended from the
2023 Central Canada wildfires. Nova Scotia’s wildfires have been persistently covered by cloud cover and wet conditions since June 3, limiting smoke production from the fires.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

Converted most measurements to the convert template, making it easier to update records in the future and have conversations be done automatically. Added equivalent conversions for humidex, and included a “C” and “F” with the values of both wind chill and humidex. Both values are indexes and as such, are unitless, but are generally expressed as an equivalent to Celsius (or Fahrenheit, respectively) without the ‘°’ symbol that would symbolize that it is a temperature measurement.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

Touched up and updated the Advisories and Special Weather Statements section. Advisories and Special Weather Statements are now issued in different ways and for different reasons. Thunderstorm potential is no longer just in Ontario, but Thunderstorm Outlooks are issued nationwide (except Nunavut) throughout the late spring, summer, and early fall. Also updated references, removed a reference that seemed to have no pertinent information, and added new ones.Tags: Visual editMobile editMobile web edit
