the Dookie 30th anniversary box set released by the band states that "Childhood friends Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt (née Pritchard) started what would become Green Day in 1987 in Rodeo, a small refinery town in Northern California's Contra Costa County." I've decided to
be bold and updated the band origin to Rodeo, California to reflect this.
