Chess problem
Claiming that helpmates and selfmates are fairy chess is not a mainstream view these days. A single line does not do justice to the matter, while the Fairy Chess page does an excellent job.

Exception that proves the rule
"The exception proves the rule" is the real topic here, and that's how the page should begin. "Exception to the rule" is a subtly different phrase: it's valid but does not belong here.

Have corrected external link to an outdated version of FIDE Laws. Even Google points me to another incorrect version - need to ferret around in FIDE site! But the new link really is the right one. Other wiki chess rules pages might also need updating.

clarify that "draw by insufficient material" is not a thing under FIDE rules, but just the most common cause of "dead position", which is a thing.
