→Music and dance: chicago folk dance contest? its not In Turkey. I feel American editors just want to put America on every other country, almost every page has their foreign minister or something even though the presidents of those countries have met with far more important people. partof the image removal process too. Dominant-party system
→Eurasia: Turkish Kurdistan? Coming from a non-nationalist and foreigner living in Turkey I can say that is a blatant attempt at pro kurdish propaganda. The HDP are dominant in majority Kurdish inhabited Turkish provinces. There is no kurdistan named area. The name kurdistan itself is not even kurdish but persian.Tag: Visual edit

→Gallery: The Arabian peninsula is not included in this image so naturally the absurd name given to the entire region of western asia cannot be what is represented here in this map, which merely shows iraq syria and AnatoliaTag: Visual edit

→Location and borders: islamic terrorists? really? thats what we are calling fanatical radical extremists now? Every muslim is Islamic. Islam is a religion. The terrorists who attacked were radicalised extremists who happen to be muslim. this is almost ridiculous but i will give it the benefit of the doubt and just say that it is wrong and this correction makes more sense.Tag: Visual edit

Turkey
→Etymology: There is no evidence to prove that Erdoğan "reversed" Kemalist policies. What policies exactly have been reversed? Also freedom of speech has not been reversed. How does that make sense when opposition media is there, in fact four of five major news outlets are opposition. I freely criticise the government on social media and in local government. How is this a reversal of freedom of speech? It has been undermined and is in a poorer state, but not reversed.Tag: Visual edit

corrections, atatürk did not "assume" power. he was elected by parliament. seems someone is trying to paint the role of a power hungry revolutionary rather than a war commander who only stood as leader following permission by the state parliamentTag: Visual edit

corrections and cleanup in the lede. important to mention all major minorities in Turkey and not just Kurds, they all have a significant history. instead of near baseless percentages, putting an approximate fraction for Turkic population makes more sense. Mahmud began westernisation while Atatürk furthered it. BSEC not as major as other orgs which Turkey is an important and founding member of, its not the pkk conflict but the kurdish turkish conflict, various groups involved. small correctionsTags: nowiki addedVisual edit

→Modern Aydın: Aydın is rather secular as a province. why dont you get some valid and credible sources before trying to claim an entire province is conservative, the editor is most likely, under my speculation, trying to claim Aydın is somewhat backward, perhaps islamic? try again. Turkey
Turkey has been a presidential republic long enough for this change. also there is some freedom of the press in Turkey. It has not been reversed. The degree of authoritarianism has affected certain freedoms of the press, such as insulting state institutions and there has been negative political pressure put upon opposition media. If freedom of the press was reversed then I would not be able to read hürriyet, sözcü, cumhuriyet or even posta today. but I CAN.Tag: Visual edit
