1225675232; Galatasaray became Istanbul champions in 1956, but that does not mean that they are also champions of the national championship. It's true that the Istanbul League was the strongest REGIONAL league in the country in 1956, which meant that the Galatasaray team was entered in the European Champions Cup, but that does not make them national champions historically.
