Information incorrect, sources are old and these tornadoes were in a time where accurate measurements were not available any subsequent estimations are just subjective and by no means worthy of a mention. Please don't go filling people's heads with the idea that a tornado from 1764 was potentially 300 mph when there is zero way one can verify it.Tags: UndoReverted

Fujita messed up Xenia thinking it was F6 originally even when it can barely get EF4 today, there is no actual backing to a 300 rating for ANY of these tornadoes that is objective and scientific, therefore speculation will not be tolerated. I can't believe I even have to say this but, use your common sense.Tags: UndoReverted

Stop trying to spread information that cannot be testified thank you. Unless you can provide evidence as to why 300 mph should be deserved other than the subjective opinion of individuals like Grazulis then you cannot pass it off as fact.Tags: UndoReverted

there is no evidence of 300 mph winds, that is a fact unless you have actual evidence to prove otherwise there is no need to spread misinformation.Tags: UndoReverted

None of these tornadoes have any evidence WHATSOEVER to back up 300, all we have is a poorly made ESSL report which gave no explanation as to why they gave it that, having read through the survey they claim lead them to that conclusion there is nothing noteworthy. Xenia and Lubbok are out of the question, neither of them had anywhere near 300 mph winds, that is common sense. Tri-state is potentially in the 250 ballpark but again no evidence of 300, I know lots of things say 300, but proof?Tag: Reverted

I agree, however the Fujita windspeeds are inaccurate and Xenia had no evidence of 250-300 mph damage, same for Goessel and Lubbok, Tri-state is the only one i can stand behind as being 250.

Weather writer see previous edit, despite what some claims are, there is no official way of knowing these were 300, xenia had Ef4 level damage, Woldegk had no indication of 300 mph wind nor did tri-state and the rest, stop trying to spread misinformation thanks.

There is no proof or evidence for 300 mph for any, having studied all of these tornadoes thoroughly (including reading the entire german report for Woldegk) there is no evidence that can suggest 300, Xenia would not get EF5 today either. As for Tri-state I am doing my own article on it and have collected a vast array of damage images, nowhere can you find evidence of 300 mph. Tornadoes that had winds >250 are likely Moore 2013 and Smithville.
