English Armada
Have changed “defeat” and “destruction” of the Spanish Armada to “ failure.” The Armada’s mission was to ferry troops across the channel. It failed this mission, but the Armada was not “defeated” in battle nor “destroyed.” Many merchant ships and barges sank in stormy weather, but most of the sea-worthy and well-crewed warships and galleons survived.
