Technically correct but felt it needed a better explanation, with a basis in more than just overly exacting number-pedantry. Besides, 60.00hz is an entirely valid broadcast rate, and the highest ATSC rate available, 0.1% faster than 59.94005994(...)hz ;-)

→Resolutions: Never heard of that resolution or aspect being used for HDTV, and I've been messing with this stuff a LONG time. Plus Rec601 doesn't define anything re: hi-def, certainly not a 3:2, 1080x720 rez. It's not in the linked article either.

→Project's afterlife: Gah, typo. Also, no reason to compare HD+ LCDs to Eu95; they're merely panels 4x size of existing 1024x576 (square-pixel PAL 16:9) netbook/tablet screens, maybe even just not cutting a master panel in 4 - 1080p HD is square pixel

→Project's afterlife: There's plenty of smaller CRTs that top out at less than 70khz; particularly any engineered to *just* be capable of 1280x1024 at 60hz (max of many 15" and some 14") are only guaranteed to handle 68khz. Don't be so sweeping...
