Also, 701 requires its SFI peers to connect with them in *all* major US cities. Why does Telia only connect to them in San Jose, Ashburn, and New York?

Okay, for (hopefully) the last time, Telia terminates on AS 701 "GW" routers (in traceroutes, gwX.POP.ALTER.NET). These routers are used fur CUSTOMERS, not settlement free peers. Ergo, not a tier1.

could the gentleman from europe please stop defacing this article? telia (1299) purchases from 701, clear as day. this is evidenced by their connecting to GW (customer attach) routers in traceroutes
