It is universally understood that "the United States" began in 1776; for those original "United States", their "Admittance into the Union" dates must at latest be when they ratified the articles (OR even upon declaration of independence). Using the date that they ratified the constitution gives the appearance that they were not part of the US before then! It only works if you say the US didn't exist until 1787!Tag: Reverted
