The daughters of Ismael could not have been Canaanites, since Ismael was a son of Abraham. If you read Genesis you'll see that to appease Isaac, Esau took an additional wife from the daughters of Ismael (that is, from the stock of Abraham).

Civic Holiday
Added "officially" for the Ontario section. I am 34 years old and know many people in most of the cities mentioned here, and it is always referred to as "Civic Holiday". Also on calendars. Perhaps it only legally goes by these other names.
