Removed a sentence stating that the important of Hankel functions is theoretical rather than practical. Hankel functions are extremely widely used in practise - being the fundamental solution of the homogeneous Helmholtz equation they are used all over the place in numerical methods such as the boundary element, the fast multipole method, Fourier-bessel expansion, and many more. Fast evaluation of Hankel functions is even a research field it is so important to applications.
