4.2 mio Lithuanians and 1.8 mio Latvians is around 6 mio, not 4. Plus there are 0.5 mio non-Lithuanians in Lithuania and 0.6 mio. non-Latvians in Latvia, who speak LIthuanian and Latvian as a second language on a daily basis. Very few minority people do not speak these languages.

1938 Polish ultimatum to Lithuania
→Vilnius Dispute: The censuses back then did not ask of ethnicity, but of language spoken (e.g. see the Russian census of 1897). It is not factual to conclude, that the language most spoken = ethnicity. The question is far more complex than just that. Do not oversimplify the question.

Tatar name is just to show respect for the specific of the village (it was established as a Tatar village), but Polish or even Belarussian variants are really irrelevant as it bears no importance for Poles or Belarussians.
