In the ''[[Los Angeles Times]]'', Robert Lloyd notes that while the series is a "lesson ... that anything can amount to exploitable intellectual property", it is also "corny as... hell, but it's genuine corn".<ref>{{cite web |first=Robert |last=Lloyd |title=Review: Adult cartoons 'Sausage Party' and 'Exploding Kittens,' one charming, one (purposely) not |url=https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2024-07-11/sausage-party-foodtopia-prime-video-exploding-kittens-netflix-review |website=[[Los Angeles Times]] |access-date=July 12, 2024 |date=July 11, 2024}}</ref>
