Sirkan ( Persian: سيركان) [a] is a city in, and the capital of, Bam Pasht District of Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. [3] It also serves as the administrative center for Bam Pasht Rural District. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 1,347 in 284 households. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,499 people in 349 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 2,196 people in 557 households. [7]
People in Sirkan do not have access to freshwater. [8]
Sirkan is regarded as one of the most underdeveloped regions in Iran, but the students have shown unexpected performance in the Iranian University Entrance Exam.[ citation needed]
