Sikandar ( transl. Defender / Warrior) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film [3] written and directed by AR Murugadoss. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj and Suniel Shetty.
The film was officially announced in March 2024 untitled, and the official title was announced a month later. Principal photography commenced on 27 June 2024 in Mumbai. The film has music composed by Pritam and cinematography handled by Tirru.
Sikandar is scheduled to release worldwide on 17th October 2025, coinciding with the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Production
Development
On February 12th 2024, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala, who had discussed for a potential collaboration between the two for a long time, were reported to join hands after ten years. [5] AR Murugadoss, who had narrated a script to Nadiadwala, would reportedly direct the project as the latter discussed the script with Khan. [6] [7] Production would begin that summer, with Murugadoss shifting between the film and SKxARM. [8] [9] The company made a public announcement on 12 March 2024, confirming the project, [10] and the film's official title, Sikandar, was announced on 12 April 2024. [11]
Casting
Rashmika Mandanna was cast as the female lead, in her first pairing with Khan. [12] Sathyaraj was reported to have been cast in the main antagonist role. [13]
