Shaoshan Liu is a US-based computer scientist, [1] who is also the founder, [2] chairman and CEO of PerceptIn. [3] Presently, he is a senior member of IEEE, [4] a member of ACM [5] and a member of the editorial board of IT Professional. [4] Additionally, he is the vice chair of IEEE Computer Society's Special Technical Community on Autonomous Driving Technologies. [6]

Liu holds a Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from University of California, Irvine. [7] His research focuses on deep learning infrastructure, computer architecture, autonomous driving and robotics. [8] He secured numerous patents on robotics and autonomous driving. [9]

Education and career

Shaoshan Liu took undergraduate and graduate courses at the UCI, [10] where he obtained a Ph.D. in 2010. He earned a M.P.A. from Harvard University. [11]

Prior to his entrepreneur venture, he worked at LinkedIn, Broadcom and Microsoft. [12] In 2016, Liu established PerceptIn, [13] a California-based visual intelligence technology company. [14]
