Shamshir Rural District ( Persian: دهستان شمشير) is in the Central District of Paveh County, Kermanshah province, Iran. [3] Its capital is the village of Shamshir, [4] transferred from Churizhi. [5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,680 in 2,138 households. [6] There were 9,167 inhabitants in 2,593 households at the following census of 2011. [7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 10,234 in 3,044 households. The most populous of its eight villages was Durisan, with 3,500 people. [2]
