At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,935 in 2,082 households. [6] There were 6,054 inhabitants in 1,582 households at the following census of 2011. [7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,959 in 1,696 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Alk, with 1,303 people. [2]
