Saptarshi Roy (born 21 March 1986) is an Indian chess player, holding the title of grandmaster.
He is a Graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Calcutta University in Kolkta.
He is the Son of Sri Amal Kumar Roy and Sri Supta Roy. Won 12 times State champion from 1994 to 2008. [1] He trained many IM's and GM's. [2] He facilitated a strategic training session, "King Hunts by GM Saptarshi Roy" attended by over 4000 students. [3] He was the Grandmaster of India. [2]
