Salim Mahmud is a Awami League politician and the Member of Parliament of Chandpur-1.

Career

Mahmud was elected to parliament from Chandpur-1 as an Awami League candidate on 7 January 2024. He was elected unopposed after 18 opposition parties led by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party boycotted the election over government crackdown and unfair conditions for the election. [2] [3]
