Saint-C么me鈥揕ini猫re (French pronunciation: [s蓻虄 kom linj蓻蕘]) is a municipality in the Beauce-Sartigan Regional County Municipality in the Chaudi猫re-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. The official spelling given by the Commission de toponymie uses an en dash after "Saint-C么me", [1] [2] but the town's own website uses a second hyphen: Saint-C么me鈥擫ini猫re. [4] The population is 3,278 as of 2021.
Saint-C么me鈥揕ini猫re was constituted by the amalgamation of the parish municipality of Saint-C么me-de-Kennebec and the village of Lini猫re on August 17, 1994. Saint-C么me was named after Arabian-born Christian martyr Saint Cosmas and Lini猫re received its name from the seigneur who was first granted the land and cultivated fields of flax ("Lin" in French).
