Sabai Nan Aluih is folklore that was written by Tulis Sutan Sati. [1] [2] This folklore originated from West Sumatra. [2] Sabai Nan Aluih is the name of Raja Babanding daughter. [2] She has beautiful face. [2] One day, Raja Nan Panjang sends his guard to Raja Babanding to tell him that Raja Nan Panjang wants to propose Sabai Nan Aluih. [2] Raja Babanding rejects the proposal and challenges Raja Nan Panjang to fight him. [2] Raja Nan Panjang approves that challenge. [2] In that fight, Raja Babanding is killed by Raja Nan Panjang's guard. [1] This incident is known by Sabai Nan Aluih. [1] She kills Raja Nan Panjang as revenge for her father's death. [1]
