Roopal Patel was born in United States to Indian parents. Both her parents are immigrants. Her father is a doctor. Patel's early exposure to traditional Indian attire through her mother's wardrobe had a significant impact on her career in the fashion industry. Her early fascination with the vivid hues, elaborate designs, and luxurious fabrics of these clothes laid the groundwork for her eventual career in the fashion industry. Patel attended law school at NYU, where she refined her analytical and critical thinking abilities, despite having originally chosen a different career route. Her love of fashion, though, proved to be unstoppable. Patel took the decisive step of deciding to pursue a profession in the fashion industry because she wanted to explore her creative side. [2]
Roopal Patel reports to Tracy Margolies, the chief merchant at Saks Fifth Avenue. Roopal was recently appointed as the Fashion Director at Saks Fifth Avenue. Roopal resigned as Senior Fashion Director at Neiman Marcus. [3] [4] She started her own luxury fashion consulting company in 2012 [5] Now, one of her many clients is the [[Council of Fashion Designers of America#CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program|CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program]]. [6] She was also a market editor at style.com. [7] Roopal has been an advocate of bright colors in the fashion industry. [8] [9] Head of Bergdorf's womenswear division, the Indian executive sets not just what the store will sell, but also the trends and designs that customers will be screaming for, because she is at the forefront of Bergdorf’s fashion. She collaborates closely with *the* top fashion magazine editors and designers in order to achieve this, and she is a regular front-row attendee at fashion shows in New York City, Milan, London, and Paris.
