Durga Raj Dhamala ( Nepali: दुर्गा राज धमला), known as Rishi Dhamala ( Nepali: ऋषि धमला), is a Nepalese journalist and the founder of a Nepali journalist association, Reporter's Club Nepal. [1] Dhamala works for several other media outlets in Nepal. [2] [3] He hosts the Nepal Bani Network's Bani Bahas and writes features in newspapers, [4] and also edits his own online newsportals. [5] [6]
On 3 February 2009, Dhamala was arrested by the Nepalese police for links with a terrorist outfit, Ranvir Sena. [7] [8] [9] He was released on 13 April by the Appellate Court Patan. [10]
