Raphidiophryidae is a family of mostly freshwater centrohelids. It is the sister family of Acanthocystidae, sharing the trait of presenting silica scales and comprising the clade Chalarothoracina. [1] Two genera, Raphidiophrys and Polyplacocystis, have been discovered so far. [2]
