Randy Stradley (born March 4, 1956) is an American
comic book writer and editor, who spent 35 years in an executive position at
Dark Horse Comics. He has written under pseudonyms Mick Harrison and Welles Hartley.[1][2][3]
Career
Stradley began working in comics in 1984 with issue 86 of
Marvel'sStar Wars.[1] In 1986, he co-founded Dark Horse Comics with
Mike Richardson and became its vice president.[1][4]
In the early 1990s Dark Horse acquired the license for Star Wars comics and relaunched the line.[1] Stradley and Richardson co-wrote the Crimson Empire miniseries, and in 2002 Stradley became Senior Editor for Dark Horse's Star Wars series,[1] a role he retained until 2014, when Marvel regained the Star Wars comics rights.[5][6]
Stradley retired from Dark Horse on February 26, 2021.[7]
