Rabi ( Persian: ربیع) is a city in the Central District of Karun County, Khuzestan province, Iran. [3] [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population (as the total of its constituent villages before their merger) was 8,332 in 1,515 households, when it was in Kut-e Abdollah Rural District of the Central District of Ahvaz County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,515 people in 8,597 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population as 8,429 people in 2,366 households, [2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Karun County. [7]
After the census, the villages of Abu Dabis, Amireh, Jongiyeh, and Kuy-e Vali Aser were merged to form the new city of Rabi. [3] [4]
