Rômulo Zanre Zwarg (born 1 March 2000), also known as Rômulo Zanre or simply Rômulo, is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Internacional. Mainly a defensive midfielder, he can also play as a right-back.
From 2018 to 2019, Rômulo played for the Brazilian Série A side Cruzeiro on loan from Paulista Série A3 side Desportivo Brasil, where he made appearances for the youth team and was only called up to two Série A matches. After ending his loan, on 2020 season he was transferred to the Chilean Primera División club Deportes La Serena, [1] scoring his first goal at professional level on 21 December 2020. [2]
On 7 January 2022, Rômulo returned to his home country after agreeing to a loan deal with Juventude. [3] He featured rarely as the club suffered relegation, before being announced at Athletic-MG on 9 January 2023. [4]
On 12 April 2023, Rômulo was announced at Internacional on loan until the end of the year. [5]
On 14 January 2024, Inter executed the buy-clause and announced Rômulo was officially Internacional's player until the end of 2027. [6]
