Prainea is a genus of trees in the plant family Moraceae. [1] It is sometimes treated as a subgenus of Artocarpus. [3] It includes two species native to Peninsular Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, the Maluku Islands, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands. [4] The species are dioecious, with male and female flowers borne on separate plants. [5]
