These days round borders are an eyesore. I greatly disliked the current portal box formatting so I have completely redone it here. Hope you all agree that it is a much needed improvement. I chose the blue colours as they are gentle on the eyes. -- Jwikiediting ( talk) 00:11, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply

@ Jwikiediting: I think it would be good to discuss major changes like this BEFORE implementing them. The black and red were chosen because these are Hampshire County Council's corporate colours and used on branding throughout the county. I agree the rounded corners can go, or at least be toned down a little, but please change the colours back. Waggers TALK 07:45, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply
@ Waggers: I wouldn't say it was that major a change - but as you request I shall revert the colours now. Could you show me where these colours are listed? Maybe we need a different combination then as they are an eyesore and clash as they are/were. This website does not show these colours, but instead a blue and red. -- Jwikiediting ( talk) 13:54, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply
@ Waggers: It seems you already made the revert. Can we use the new template and avoid the round borders entirely?
{{Box-header | title={{{1}}}
|editpage={{{2}}}
|border=#FF0000 <!-- This is the color of the borders around Box Sections -->
|titlebackground=#000000 <!-- This is the color of the Box Section Title Bar -->
|titleforeground=#FFFFFF <!-- This is the color of the Box Section Title Bar text -->
|background=#EEEEEE <!-- This is the color of the Box Section background -->
|foreground=#000000}} <!-- This is the color of the Box Section text -->
This is my suggestion for the template (try and click preview - I will make the edit if you agree), which uses the colours as you request and avoids the borders while using a global template to keep the portals looking uniformed. -- Jwikiediting ( talk) 13:59, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply
Using the colours stated on the above website, I managed to come up with this - which is less of an eyesore and looks neater - yet fits with the standard. Do you agree to use this?

Thanks for your work on this Jwikiediting - yes, that last one looks better and as you say fits with the standard, and isn't such a drastic change from the existing look. Waggers TALK 14:22, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply
Thank you Waggers. I will update it now. Glad we came to a suitable agreement. -- Jwikiediting ( talk) 14:25, 25 July 2013 (UTC) reply
