In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1304.
Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 233 metres and covers an area of 17.37 km2 (6.71 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01). [1]

It has a population of about 1,991 people (2020-12-31). [2]
